This 2 day class will introduce students to the skills necessary to use the following MVS
utility programs:
- IDCAMS
- IEBGENER
- IEFBR14
- SORT / MERGE
- IEBCOPY
- IEBPTPCH
- IEBUPDTE
- DFSMSdss
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to identify the three
utilities, describe the purposes of each, and execute the utilities to perform
specific functions.
Upon completion of this course, the student will understand the purpose of utility
programs, and will be able to execute the four utilities to perform specific
functions.
A series of written and lab exercises will be used to reinforce the classroom
education.
Audience:
This course is designed for operators, programmers, and any data center personnel
who use utilities in the performance of their jobs. It is also recommended for those who are converting from DOS to MVS to help familiarize all data center personnel with
some of the functions of MVS.
